Graco Infant Carrier Base
traveling with an infant....?
This is going to sound super-dumb... usually I am more prepared than this...
If you are going to fly with an infant carseat (the carrier-type.. Graco Snugride, etc), do you strap the base in the airplane like you would in the car or do you use the seat without the base? We have always flown with my daughter's Britax carseat (we have it attached to wheels for airplane travel) but have chosen to use her other carseat for this trip because we will be needing the stroller often at our destination.
I have purchased a seat for my daughter. We always purchase her a seat and she travels in a car seat. Unfortunately infants die every year in planes when conditions are survivable because mom just couldn't hold on.. or baby turns into a human airbag. I am not judging people who let their children ride in their laps.. it just isn't for us. 
No base. You strap the seat directly into the airplane seat, the way you would in a car without a base- the seatbelt goes through those hooks over baby's lap.
