All infant car seats come with a handle and nearly all have a base that secures to your vehicle with LATCH connections. LATCH stands for Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children which includes belts that hook the base to metal anchors in the car. Check the seat often. Try shifting the car seat from side to side and back to front. It shouldn’t move more than an inch in either direction. Every model of car seat sold in the US must meet federal safety standards.
